Now there are four...

On May 3, 2012 Bennett Isaac Galmarini joined our family. He was 7lbs 1oz and 19 1/2 inches long. Here he is at 1 day old.

And just in case you wanted to see if they look alike, here is Weston at 1 day old. I'll let you decide if there is any resemblance.

Merry Christmas

I know it's been a while since I posted, so what better time than Christmas. It has been a busy couple months... Weston has gone from crawling to officially walking. He also has 5 teeth and is working on #s 6, 7 and 8. He loves to stack things, bang on things and push chairs around. I guess you could say we have the beginnings of toddlerhood on our hands.
Check out our big boy...

2011 brought about all kinds of change for us. Each month Weston was changing and doing new things. It has been such a joy to watch him grow. We are looking forward to all the new adventures 2012 will bring, including the addition of baby #2 in May!

With that we wish you all a very Merry Christmas & and may the joy and peace of the season be with you through out the coming year.

7 Months Old and on the move...

7 Months Old

Weston continues to amaze us with his strength. He is already crawling AND pulling himself up on furniture. Check it out...

Here are a couple more pictures from this past month.
Nap time is over mom.

I think there is teeth in there somewhere

I'm ready to eat in my big boy highchair

Weston hit the 6 month mark on Sunday and I can't help but reflect on how much he has grown in such a short amount of time. It is already hard to remember the first couple of days and weeks, where Aaron and I went through the motions of caring for him in what is best described as a sleepless haze. Then, I could hardly imagine Weston doing all the normal baby things - rolling over, grabbing for toys, interacting with us, sitting up on his own - and now, a short 6 months later, he is already doing all of those things and is on the verge of being mobile. I can just see him thinking to himself - ready or not, here I come...

He has really broken out of his shell in the last 2 months. Since my last post, I feel like he has grown leaps and bounds.
  • He is now sitting up on his own and has become a lot more aggressive about what he wants. So much for a laid-back kid.
  • He has become very good at eating what my sister likes to call people food. He loves sweet potatoes the most and was introduced to fruit this week and it looks like he is a fan of that as well. He also has become very successful at holding his bottle.
  • He now rolls from front to back and back to front and also gets up on all fours as if he is going to crawl, but hasn't quite figured out that part of it yet. He is constantly pushing himself to the next thing - which I love. I'm so looking forward to chasing him around the house.
  • He is very loud and vocal. Not sure where he gets that from. LOL. I guess he got a little bit of me after all. It just wasn't as evident in the beginning.
  • And I must say my favorite thing that he has learned in the last 2 months - his hugs, snuggles, and giggles!
In addition, he has gotten to experience a lot of firsts as well.
First taste of food - peas
First road trip - went to Ohio to meet his daddy's family
    First time at the pool
    First vacation
    First look at the ocean
    First 4th of July Fireworks
And, finally, here is Weston at 6 months old.
We have his 6-month doctors appointment next week... any guesses on how big he will be?

4 months going on 9

Weston had his 4 month check up this past week and weighed in at 17.1 and 26 inches long. He is definitely a big boy, already fitting into 6-9 month clothing.
This month Weston enjoyed his first holiday - Easter.
On Mother's Day we had him dedicated at church.

Already well into his 5th month with us, he has hit a couple of milestones. Just in the last week or so he has rolled from front to back and had his first taste of real food. He has also decided it's time that mom and dad, the neighbors, and anyone within a mile should hear him when he plays - he likes to be very loud.
Here's a look at how much he has grown in just a short 4 months.

4 Months Old - 17 lbs 1 ounce, 26 inches

3 Months Old

2 Months Old - 12 lbs 13 ounces, 24 inches

1 Month Old

Newborn - 8 lbs 4 ounces, 21.5 inches

Time is flying...

Weston hit the 3 month mark on the 10th of April. He is growing fast and seems to get bigger every day. At his 3 month check up he was 12 pound 13 ounces and about 24" long. So I think it is safe to say he is over 14 pounds now. He is such a happy little guy, giving smiles more and more every day. He keeps himself busy by trying to figure out what his hands are for. Just in the last week or two he has started reaching for things and taking hold of his toys. Here are a few pictures of the past couple of weeks.

Having fun with dad & mom

All tuckered out.

What a cutie!
